GLOBAL EXPANSIONS IN TEXTILES AND ACCESSORIES
Providing opportunities for international buyers in the area of textiles and
accessories, International Textiles and Accessories Fair, TEXGATE 2008 I sensed
the pulse of the sector. Organized at Istanbul CNR EXPO Fair Center, the fair
hosted 8.824 professionals, 983 of which were international.
Organized biannually, Texgate provides opportunity for professionals who want to
strengthen their international connections and establish new business
agreements. .
The first Texgate of 2008, organized on 13-15 March 2008, had 110 exhibitors in
total including domestic and international exhibitors. The fair was organized at
an area of 10.400 m² by Istanbul Trade Fairs.
Many visitors from abroad met at Texgate. Visitors from many countries including
Russia, Bulgaria, Greece, Syria, Egypt, Iran and Bosnia Herzegovina both
followed the latest developments in the sector and established new business
connections.
Such leading textile companies as Universal Tekstil, Tup Merserize, Akincilar,
Botas, Nehir, Dincerler, Celik Tas, Besa and Nevzat Triko were among the
exhibitors of the fair.
Fashion designers, ready-to-wear manufacturers, wholesalers and distributors,
agents, representatives of importer and exporter companies, buyers of chain
stores were among the visitors of the fair. The product line of Texgate was made
up of weaving, knitting, denim and other fabrics, fibers, fiberglass and other
textile accessories.
